Philanthropy Event: Prevent Child Abuse America

Prevent Child Abuse America is a voluntary organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse through citizen action. Each Sigma Delta Tau chapter conducts an annual service project, educational program, or major fund raiser for the benefit of Prevent Child Abuse America. Together, the SDT chapters contribute more than $50,000 each year to their National Philanthropy. Sigma Delta Tau, Beta Beta Chapter, has also adopted another charity which is close to our hearts. V-Day is a global movement to stop violence against women and girls. Sigma Delta Tau holds an event called the V-Day Black and White Bash which is a formal party complete with hors d'oeuvres and dancing. All proceeds go towards the V-Day Global Fund for Battered Women.
