About Gamma Phi Beta at Michigan State University

Gamma Phi Beta has an international membership of over 160,000 members. The Gamma Phi Beta International Sorority has 119 collegiate chapters and 171 alumnae groups. As Gamma Phis, we hold true to our four crescent values of love, labor, learning and loyalty. Since our founding date on November 11, 1874 Gamma Phi Beta women everywhere have truly made an impact on the world. We have accomplished women in many different fields including politics, journalism, science, education, the military, and acting. As a G-Phi, you’ll find that your sisters will support you in all your endeavors, both during your stay at Michigan State and after the college years have long gone. After all, being a member doesn’t stop at college graduation because after joining Gamma Phi Beta you’ll make memories to cherish and friendships to last a lifetime.

Philanthropy Event: Campfire USA

Our chapter believes it’s important to give back to the community, which we accomplish through our philanthropy. Our national philanthropy is Campfire USA, which is an organization that supports underprivileged children by providing afterschool programming and camps for them to attend at no cost. However, in addition to our national philanthropy, we also do local philanthropies right here in East Lansing. Our local philanthropies have included supporting the Ronald McDonald House, volunteering in the Lansing public school district, and participating in Relay for Life.
