About Delta Sigma Phi at Michigan State University

Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity is a Greek social fraternity established in 1899 on "the principles of friendship and brotherhood among college men, without respect to race of creed." Today Delta Sigma Phi continues its tradition of building better men and better lives by pursuing an active stance in equality among brotherhood, chivalry, and morality. Chapters and their brothers are encouraged to be vigorous in their participation with their community and their nation. Alpha Pi chapter at Michigan State University works to uphold these traditions set down in 1899 by continuing community volunteerism and scholastic achievement, but most of all by setting brotherhood as the essential part of daily fraternity life.

Philanthropy Event: Bed Race

Since its conception in 2004, the Delt Sig Bed Race at MSU has boasted itself as one of the premier philanthropy events in the area. Annually, the Bed Race raises over $3,500 directly benefiting the Hannah Community Center's Youth Action Team based in East Lansing; Delt Sig's philanthropy event is one of the only events which benefit the community solely. Recently the City of East Lansing publicly applauded the Delta Sigma Phi chapter at MSU for their continued involvement in the local area and placed the chapter's work in the city's history through a Resolution of Commendation. Each year offers to be a more successful philanthropic event offering fun for everyone. We invite you or your organization to take part in giving back to the community during this year's upcoming Bed Race.
